(TELLER COUNTY, Colo.) — A tornado touched down in Teller County, near Cripple Creek on Friday, August 9, causing no injuries or deaths, but damaging one home and about 20 acres of damage.
The Teller County Emergency Manager reported that the tornado occurred around 3 p.m., approximately four miles northeast of Cripple Creek, off of Teller County Road 61, near West Beaver Creek.
The Teller County Sheriff's Office (TCSO) shared a post from Commissioner Dan Williams saying that the tornado touched down on his property and showing photos of downed trees and damage.
The National Weather Service will be doing a survey of the area on Saturday, August 10.
