The Price Is Right contestant helps St. Francis House with a new washer and dryer

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO) -- Every once in a while you see a South Dakotan come on down during The Price is Right game show, it's rare, but when it happens it's exciting to watch them; especially when they win something.

But what one Sioux Falls man did when he won is even more rare.

Sterling Sinkey Come On Down!

It's been a lifelong dream for Sterling Sinkey of Sioux Falls to make an appearance on The Price is Right.

When he was in California helping his brother move, he knew it was a great opportunity to do it.

"So the show was only four miles away. I got tickets on my drive out there just online one night, I was like I better do that, this is one of the main things I wanted to do when I was out there," Sinkey said.

When he got to contestant's row, he made the most of it by outbidding the others for a brand new washer and dryer.

"So I said $2,425 and it was like $2,620 or 23 is what they said the retail price was," Sinkey said.

Although Sterling was excited that he won, he really didn't need a washer and dryer, so he did something even more exciting.
