‘The View’ Hosts Shut Down Savannah Chrisley’s On-Air Claim About AOC: ‘Tell That to Gavin Newsom’

Savannah Chrisley was quickly shut down by the ladies on The View.

During the Wednesday, February 18, Hot Topics discussion, the cohosts addressed Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez’s awkward response to a question recently posed to her at the Munich Security Conference.

When the 36-year-old Democrat was asked if the United States should send troops to aid Taiwan if China invaded, she seemed unsure of how to respond and stalled for about 20 seconds.

After The View played the clip of AOC’s response, they cut to President Donald Trump saying that “she had no idea what was happening.” However, the ladies noted that the 79-year-old president, on numerous occasions, has misspoke or fumbled.

“Mispronouncing a word is totally different from not knowing your position on Taiwan,” Chisley — who is serving as guest host for Alyssa Farah Griffin, who’s on maternity leave — said in defense of Trump.
