Things to do this weekend in the Permian Basin

PERMIAN BASIN, Texas (KMID/KPEJ)- The Permian Basin is loaded with events for the weekend...here are some ways to spend the last weekend of summer before schools open back up.

The City of Midland will host its final Movie at the Park event for the summer, featuring the "Kung Fu Panda 4" movie at Centennial Park on 200 West Wall Street. The film will begin at dusk with concessions available. Guests are encouraged to bring blankets and chairs for comfort.

Parks Legado is hosting their monthly Farmers Market on Saturday, August 10th beginning at 8:00 a.m. at 7260 TX-191 in Odessa. Roming Yoga will also hold a yoga session at 9:30 where guests are encouraged to bring their own mat. The Farmers Market will run through 12:00 p.m.

Earth, Body, and Soul at 333 North Midkiff Road in Midland is launching the “Men’s Spiritual Support Circle” on Sunday, August 11th starting at 2:00 p.m. Men of all ages are encouraged to come and expect a “sacred space” for transformational growth and healing. The event will be held in Midland and admission is free.
