Thousands attend funeral for beloved Sumner County sheriff

HENDERSONVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — Thousands gathered in Hendersonville on Friday for a beloved Sumner County sheriff's funeral and procession.

Long Hollow Church, with a capacity of just over 2,000, was filled to the brim with community members honoring the life and legacy of Roy "Sonny" Weatherford. Weatherford died suddenly last week. Hundreds had attended Weatherford's visitation the day prior.
