NORTH LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – North Little Rock city officials have confirmed a train derailment Thursday morning.
City officials said the derailment happened between downtown North Little Rock and Interstate 40, leaving 13 cars overturned.
The cause of the derailment is unknown, and officials have not confirmed any injuries at this time.
Officials with Union Pacific said it could take until 8 p.m. to clean the area.
Traffic officials have not released any additional information on the incident.
