Troy, Mo. man dies in I-70 crash

CALLAWAY COUNTY, Mo. - A man from Troy, Missouri died in a crash Wednesday morning along Interstate 70, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.

A MSHP crash report has identified the victim as 27-year-old Clayton Hulme.

The crash happened around 9:30 a.m. Wednesday in the eastbound lanes of I-70 near mile marker 161 in Callaway County.

According to the crash report, Hulme's vehicle crossed the center if a roadway and struck a towed unit of another vehicle. Investigators say his vehicle skidded off the roadway, then struck several median cable posts.

Hulme was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash. No other injuries were reported.

MSHP Troop F, which covers much of mid-Missouri, is handling the investigation into the crash.
