El CAJON, Calif. (FOX 5/KUSI) -- More than 3,000 soccer players are trying out in hopes of being selected to become the first students at San Diego FC’s new private school that's set to open soon.

They are young boys, dreaming of one day becoming a professional soccer player. Their first leg in could be the Right to Dream Academy.

“It’s really good competition," said Enoc Dina, who was giving his go at tryouts Thursday. "They’re all very competitive and it feels really good to be out there.”
