Tussey Mountain prepare for more events following WingFest

CENTRE COUNTY (WTAJ) - WingFest at Tussey Mountain has brought hundreds of people together to enjoy wings, food and live music for the past 20 years.

It's also one of Tussey Mountain's biggest profit events.

"It's definitely a good profit center for us. We have a lot of things going on here and there's a lot that goes into WingFest," Tussey Mountains Marketing and Recreation Director, Aaron Weyman said.

Something that Weyman pointed out is that WingFest only happens one day a week for eight weeks. It takes place every Thursday, but that means that some people who work in the evenings during the weekdays aren't able to make it to the event.

"We were discussing adding more to it or just other events similar to Wing Fest. It's a popular event, but it is only on Thursdays," Weyman said. "We know a lot of people like to come out on weekends too, so we may be expanding some of our events that we put out here and we're working on some events for this year too, for the fall."

They already have events planned for this fall including another show to their Happy Valley Music series in October along with their annual Oktoberfest.
