Two Dead in Suspected Murder-Suicide After Domestic Shooting on Mercer Street in Philadelphia

PHILADELPHIA — Two adults are dead following a suspected murder-suicide that unfolded Saturday afternoon in Philadelphia’s Kensington section, according to the Philadelphia Police Department.

Officers from the 24th District responded at approximately 1:35 p.m. to the 2800 block of Mercer Street after receiving reports of a shooting.

Police said responding officers found an adult man and an adult woman suffering from gunshot wounds. Both victims were pronounced dead at approximately 2 p.m.
