Two Olympians from San Diego win medals for skateboarding

SAN DIEGO (FOX 5/KUSI) -- As of Wednesday afternoon, two more Olympic athletes with ties to San Diego will be bringing home medals from the Paris games.

Australia's Keegan Palmer and Team USA's Tom Schaar nabbed gold and silver respectively in men's skateboarding Wednesday.

This is the second gold medal for Palmer, making him the first skateboarder to win consecutively after his success at the 2020 summer games in Tokyo, in which skateboarding made its debut as an official Olympic sport.
