TxDot to resume Big Spring Street mill and inlay project

MIDLAND, Texas (KMID/KPEJ)- The Texas Department of Transportation announced that it will resume its mill and inlay project on Big Spring Street in Midland.

City officials reported that TxDot will start the mill and inlay project at Big Spring Street and Wadley Avenue and move south on August 5th. 

According to reports, the best route to take for north-south traffic during the time of TxDOT’s mill and inlay work will be on Lamesa Road. 

Mil and inlay projects consist of grinding down the upper layer of existing asphalt to remove cracks, ruts, and imperfections.

The city of Midland also noted that since the project is in the right of way for TxDot, the city will not approve or manage the traffic control plans.
