ODESSA, Texas (KMID/KPEJ)- UPDATED: City leaders said crews will turn off the water to the entire City of Odessa and wanted to give residents "time to prepare". This comes amid a water main break involving valves; crews cannot fix the break because they cannot shut off the valves to stop the flow of water.
Citizens should expect to lose water around 2:00 p.m. and everyone in Odessa will be without water for "a few hours"
Once water comes back online, Odessa will be under a boil water notice for at least 24-hours.
The City of Odessa alerted residents on Saturday morning, June 29 that the north side of town may experience low water pressure while repairs are being made on a water line break.
