Utah man sentenced to 10 years in prison for possessing child pornography

SALT LAKE CITY (ABC4) -- An Ogden man has been sentenced to 10 years in prison for possessing child pornography, according to the U.S. Attorney's Office for the District of Utah.

Jordan Alan Neves Brewer, 37, was sentenced to 120 months in prison, in addition to being sentenced to a lifetime of supervised release. Brewer was also ordered to pay $5,000 in restitution after he had admitted to possessing child pornography.

According to a press release from the U.S. Attorney's Office for the District of Utah, in Feb. 2024, Brewer admitted to possessing child pornography while he was on supervised release for a prior federal conviction.

Brewer's prior federal conviction -- which was from 2012 -- was also for possessing child pornography. He had also been convicted by the state for possession of child pornography and was released from his state sentence in 2019.
