SALT LAKE CITY (ABC4) -- The Chair of the Utah Democratic Party announced on Monday that Utah's national Democratic delegates were unanimously endorsing Vice President Kamala Harris to become the presidential nominee for the party.
UDP Chair Diane Lewis released a statement on Monday to explain the unanimous endorsement, saying, "Her background as a criminal prosecutor makes her the perfect candidate to defeat Donald Trump, a convicted felon and twice-impeached ex-President."
The statement also said, in part, "Kamala Harris is the most qualified candidate to lead our country for the next four years."
Lewis continued to say that the 2024 election is "the most important of [her] lifetime," after saying the "MAGA Republicans" were "attacking" the democratic institutions of the United States, abortion rights, social security, LGBTQ+ rights, ...
