Utah State Senator celebrates Pioneer Day in the most Utah way possible

SALT LAKE CITY (ABC4) -- There is a good chance no one celebrated the great State of Utah quite like State Sen. Daniel McCay.

To celebrate Pioneer Day — a state holiday commemorating when Brigham Young and Utah pioneers arrived in the Great Salt Lake Valley — McCay channeled his inner Mark Zuckerberg with a video posted to social media.

In the video, which can be seen in the video player above, McCay surfs the water of Warm Creek Bay. In one hand, McCay proudly holds up the new Utah State Flag, which he helped create as the bill's chief sponsor. In the other, he carries a 44 oz. fountain soda from Maverik, which he nonchalantly takes sips from.
