Valley natives announced as H-E-B Quest for Texas Best finalists

BROWNSVILLE, Texas (ValleyCentral) — A Valley-duo has been announced as a finalist in H-E-B's 11th annual Quest for Texas Best.

H-E-B has chosen its top 10 finalists from across the state in search for the best Texas-made products.

The top 10 finalists were chosen from nearly 500 submissions from more than 118 cities across the Lone Star State.

Brownsville natives Gerardo and Daisy Alcazar have advanced to the final round and will face-off other small businesses to claim H-E-B's Texas Best title.

The duo will showcase their homemade frozen treats, La Pale Frozen Fruit Bar, in honor of their Mexican family tradition dating back to the 1930s.
