ODESSA, Texas (KMID/KPEJ)- The city released new information on the water outage that resulted in the city's loss of water after the supply was shut off to aid in the repair of a line.
According to the city, the line was repaired and crews are now out of the hole. Officials also said that the water systems will be turned back on slowly and that once it is back on, a boil water notice will be in effect.
Odessa officials stated that water samples will be taken on Sunday morning, where it will then be 24 to 36 hours before there is a chance to be given the "all clear."
