West Virginia Man Sentenced for Illegal Firearm Possession

BECKLEY, WV – Jason Michael Tucker, a 43-year-old resident of Frankford, was sentenced today to two years in federal prison, followed by three years of supervised release, for possessing a firearm as a convicted felon. The sentencing occurred in the United States District Court.

Court documents reveal that on December 30, 2022, Tucker engaged in the illegal sale of a Ruger model Wrangler .22LR caliber revolver for $125. This transaction took place in Greenbrier County and involved a confidential informant. Additionally, Tucker admitted to selling a quantity of fentanyl to the same informant a few hours prior to the firearm transaction.
