Wildfire reported west of Sylvandale Ranch near Highway 34

DENVER (KDVR) — A wildfire is burning west of Sylvandale Ranch near Highway 34 in Larimer County, officials reported.

Smoke could be seen from the fire for miles. The fire was reported near Storm Mountain.

Mandatory, immediate evacuations were ordered for Drake to Dam Store along Highway 34, including Storm Mountain and Palisade Mountain.

The U.S. Forest Service of the Arapaho Roosevelt National Forests reported it was also responding to the fire.
