SALT LAKE CITY (ABC4) — Elevated winds along central and southern Utah through Tuesday will keep critical fire weather in place.
A similar weather pattern persists today from what we saw over the region on Sunday. High pressure to the southeast will keep dry weather over the state today with areas of critical fire weather in the southern half of the state. Although winds will decrease slightly across central and southern Utah this afternoon, there will still be afternoon wind gusts of 25-30 mph, creating pockets of critical fire weather. Humidity will also stay very dry in these regions. With gusty winds remaining in these areas through Tuesday afternoon, red flag warnings will continue through 10 pm Tuesday. Daytime highs will be near seasonal averages today across the state.
