Woman dead, 2 men injured in 4 Indianapolis shooting scenes over 75 minutes

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — Indianapolis police on Monday night went to four separate shooting scenes within 75 minutes, leaving at least one woman dead and at least two men injured.

Woman fatally shot at The Residences on 56th Street

Medics and Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department officers were called just after 7:50 p.m. Monday to the 5600 block of Brendon Way Court. That’s at The Residences on 56th Street apartments located northwest of the Interstate 465 and East 56th Street interchange.

Officers found a woman with gunshot wounds at the scene. She died shortly after.

A suspect was apprehended.

Investigators think the shooting was domestic-related. A child was in the home where the shooting happened.

Second shooting scene

A second shooting was reported at 8:31 p.m. in the 4700 block of Lynwood Avenue. A Culver’s restaurant sits nearby.

No information was immediately available on that shooting.
