Woman dies after being hit by vehicle Saturday night in Pensacola

PENSACOLA, Fla. (WKRG) -- A woman is dead after being hit by a vehicle in Pensacola late Saturday night.

A news release from Pensacola Police says a woman was hit by a vehicle at the intersection of Pace Boulevard and Gadsden Street at around 11:40 pm Saturday. The victim was taken to a local hospital where she died from her injuries. The intersection was closed for a time but has since reopened.

A police spokesperson said the vehicle did stop. No names have been released and there are no charges at this time. The news release doesn't say what led up to the collision.
