BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) — The Baton Rouge Police Department is investigating after a woman was shot and taken to the hospital.
According to Baton Rouge police, officers responded to a shooting along East Howell Drive around 6:50 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 10. Police said a woman was taken to a local hospital with a gunshot wound.
The woman's condition is unknown at this time, according to Baton Rouge police.
No further details were immediately available. This is an ongoing investigation.
