Women's event featuring fashion show, guest speakers and health screenings coming to Mobile Convention Center

MOBILE, Ala. (WKRG) — Nspire U! Media, an organization that highlights, educates, and empowers women and minorities globally, will host the Sisters for Life Health and Wellness Expo.

Candice Houston and Bambi Harris joined News 5's Cherish Lombard on the red couch to discuss the event, which is scheduled for Aug. 10 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Mobile Convention Center.

According to Houston and Harris, the event, which is now in its second year, started after they "found that all the events we have here, we didn't have one that was particularly for women —that celebrated women's overall wellness, financially, physically, and emotionally, particularly women from the underrepresented communities."
