24-year-old man convicted of murder in 2024 near 56th, Georgetown Road

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — An 24-year-old man has been convicted of murder for the July 2024 shooting death of a 21-year-old woman at a gas station on the northwest side of Indianapolis.

Kobe Bond, of Indianapolis, was convicted Feb. 18 after a two-day court trial in Marion Superior Court 31, online records show.

News 8 previously reported that Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department officers found Tyreana Terrell was found with gunshot wounds about 2 a.m. July 9, 2024, at a gas station near West 56th Street and Georgetown Road. That’s a business area with gas stations, restaurants, and pharmacies at the intersection.

A news release from the Marion County Prosecutor’s Office said security cameras at the gas station captured the events leading up to the shooting: Terrell arrived at the business and made a purchase inside the store. When she returned outside, she began shouting and gesturing at another vehicle. A physical fight began between Terrell and another woman while several people from both groups watched the altercation. Bond was seen on the video holding and occasionally displaying a handgun during the fight. After the groups were separated, Terrell and Bond exchanged words.
