INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — A 27-year-old man was arrested Wednesday for shooting a woman multiple times in March 2024, police say.
According to Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department, on March 16, just after 11:30 p.m., officers were called to the 3700 block of Breen Drive on a report of a person shot. That’s right off North Post Road and East 38th Street.
Officers arrived to find an adult female who had been shot multiple times. She was transported to the hospital in stable condition.
IMPD says “through relentless pursuit for over two years and by way of various investigative techniques” they identified Isaac Holmes as the shooter.
Detectives also learned that Holmes is considered a serious violent felon and is prohibited from possessing firearms due to a prior conviction.
According to online court records, Holmes is facing one count of attempted murder and unlawful possession of a firearm by a serious violent felon.
His initial hearing is scheduled for Tuesday.
