Amazon announces new delivery station in Vincennes
VINCENNES, Ind. (WISH) — A station to deliver Amazon orders to customers will be built in an Knox County industrial park south of the city of Vincennes, the company announced Thursday.
The projected opening date was not yet available, but the company hopes to create 170 jobs. The release said Amazon employees in customer fulfillment and transportation earn an average hourly base wage of more than $23 an hour.
Construction was expected to begin “in the coming weeks,” the release said.
The center will be in the Knox County U.S. 41 Industrial Park, where Amazon purchased 30 acres, according to online reports. The center will be 104,000 square feet.
