IMPD investigating death on South Catherwood Avenue

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — The Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department is investigating a death at a residence on the city’s southeast side.

Around 4:29 p.m. Thursday, IMPD Southeast District officers were dispatched on a report of a death investigation in the 2100 block of South Catherwood Avenue, just west of I-465. A person, believed to be a male, was found inside the residence with trauma injuries.

The male victim was pronounced dead at the scene.

Investigators did not immediately provide any additional information on this incident.
