IU football’s full 2026 schedule released

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. (WISH) — Following its first football national championship in school history in the 2025 season, IU football’s 2026 schedule has been released.

• Saturday, September 5 – vs. North Texas
• Saturday, September 12 – vs. Howard
• Saturday, September 19 – vs. Western Kentucky
• Saturday, September 26 – vs. Northwestern
• Saturday, October 3 – at Rutgers
• Saturday, October 10 – at Nebraska
• Saturday, October 17 – vs. Ohio State
• Saturday, October 24 – at Michigan
• Saturday, October 31 – vs. Minnesota
• Saturday, November 14 – vs. USC
• Saturday, November 21 – at Washington
• Saturday, November 28 – vs. Purdue

2026 will be Curt Cignetti’s third season with the Hoosiers. He is 27-2 in his time in Bloomington.

Out of the opponents on the 2026 schedule, Cignetti has not played Rutgers, Minnesota, or USC in his time with IU. This will be the third straight year IU has played Ohio State and Purdue.
