INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — Former Indiana Secretary of Public Safety Jennifer-Ruth Green, a Republican, has withdrawn from the race for the Republican nomination in Indiana’s 1st Congressional District.

Ruth Green provided the following statement on Thursday:

“After much prayer and careful consideration, I have decided not to seek the Republican nomination for Congress in Indiana’s 1st District in 2026.
