INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — Marion County will downgrade to a travel advisory status at midnight Wednesday.

This is the lowest level of local travel advisory, according to the Indiana Department of Homeland Security. An advisory means that routine travel or activities may be restricted in some areas. Drivers are urged to remain cautious while traveling.

Marion County, including Indianapolis, went from a travel warning to a travel watch after midnight Monday.

A watch means that road conditions are a threat to the safety of the public. During a “watch” local travel advisory, only essential travel, such as to and from work or in emergency situations, is recommended.
