San Diego County considers consumer protection unit as fraud victims seek help

San Diego County Board Chair Terra Lawson-Remer is proposing the creation of a consumer protection unit to help victims of fraud and scams, which would be funded with money already set aside by the county and would have the same investigative tools as district attorneys.
