Slick roads lead to fatal crash in Huntington

HUNTINGTON, Ind. (WISH) — A woman was identified Tuesday after she was involved in a crash due to slick road conditions, authorities say.

On Monday, 58-year-old Patricia Jackson of Huntington was driving a Jeep Liberty going westbound on US 24 east of County Road 200 East when she lost control of her vehicle and crossed the median into the eastbound lanes.

Her vehicle struck a semi-truck, resulting in a T-bone crash.

She was pronounced dead at the scene by Huntington County Sherriff’s Office. The coroner’s office says her death was to due multiple blunt impact injuries.

The semi-truck driver, 40-year-old Aaron Amyx of Harrison, MI, was uninjured in the crash.
